清明时节雨纷纷

Rain...rain...rain... mom say it is because it is 清明节 (QingMing Festival), a Festival whereby we visit ur ancestors tombs, clean it and burn paper money for their use in the other world. There is a poem on this festival which involves plenty of rain, it goes like:

“清明时节雨纷纷,路上行人欲断魂, 借问酒家何处有,牧童遥指杏花村。”

Translation: Rain never stops during QingMing, everyone that walk past are sad, 'where is the pub' one ask, and the shephard points to XinHua village.

haha...something like that...very hard to translate chinese poems. haha....

Oh ya, our family went visit the tombs last night at 12 midnight...finished everything at 3.30am. Then we went for supper at the Famous Roti Prata Store, got back home only at 4.30 in the morning...haha...

Nothing spooky there, quite a number of people with the same idea as us to visit the tombs in the middle of the night. Slight drizzal too...but still okie. Bro-in-law brought his ghost detacter which non of us know how to use to see if he can find anything interesting.....too bad I think non of them wants to get close to him. haha...

thanks for the little poem, i read it somewhere before, but could not remember the 3rd and 4th sentences.

mmmm, but the translation ......

for ghost, it's whether you want to get close to them, it's not about whether they want to get close to you. i sometimes dream of my father when i miss him a lot. ^_^
